Dogs and cats go crazy for liver treats! You can give these to them knowing they are healthy and nutritious.
Rice flour is gluten-free, if that is a concern for you. If not, you may use any type of flour.
4 1/2 cups rice flour or other flour
1/4 cup Liver Powder (available here)
1 egg
1 tsp. baking powder
Add enough water, chicken or beef broth to moisten.
Mix well, form into a ball, roll out to ¼" thickness with a rolling pin, cut into desired shapes, place on cookie sheets, and bake in a 325 oven for about 45 minutes, or until well browned. Turn off the oven, leaving the biscuits to dry in the oven until cooled.
These biscuits may be frozen, but keep well in a cookie jar for a couple of weeks if they are very dry and crisp.
